Emotional Based Training™
is Key To Shifting Our Dementia Care Culture
As with the progression of many diseases, voice can be lost. Communication as we know it evaporates. This is the very essence Alzheimer’s Speaks was created. To bring voice back to the disease in a variety of formats and fashions: while encouraging, assisting, and engaging those in need.
Over the years, our Founder Lori La Bey has expanded her vision. Her goal is to shift our dementia care culture from crisis to comfort around the world by changing how we give and receive care. Lori views the globe as one large cradle which is here to nurture those in need, as life ebbs and flows through the stages of aging.
Alzheimer’s Speaks is proud to be the first international resource directory for dementia. It was designed to be an “Advocate on Steroids for Dementia” by giving voice and enriching the lives of patients, professionals and the public while delivering easy access to a variety of services, tools, concepts and products
We want to even the playing fields between large companies and small business owners. We understands people globally are struggling. We know a new mindset is required to correct and bring the world back into balance. This site was designed to not only shift our dementia care culture on a personal level, but in the world of business too.
Alzheimer's Speaks believes there isa basic skill set for Caregiving. One which ebbs and flows throughout life and is a natural and universal language in and of itself. It is our belief that caregiving starts from the moment we are conceived and that each of us makes a conscience decision as to how we are going to give and receive care or interact with others.
Lori La Bey'sbelieves her Emotional Based Training™, enables her audiences to open their hearts and minds, along with giving them strategies to raise awareness regarding their own personal care style and delivery techniques and systems. Watch the sample speaker video in the bottom left corner of this page, called "Driving Change In Caregiving" which will give you an idea of what Lori can offer your organization.

Music is a prime example of how our emotions play a powerful role in our life. Music can trigger various emotions within us, and this does not stop when one has dementia.
