La Bey Was Shocked!

La Bey was shocked at the lack of resources, products, tools, services, and educational support available to families and professionals. Given the pain she saw and felt, she left her career of 25 years, as a residential Realtor, specializing in the senior market which she loved and never saw herself leaving. She was now committed to making a difference in shifting dementia care from crisis to comfort around the world.

Families Shouldn't Have to Struggle Like Hers Did

La Bey’s realized early on the need to “shift society’s negative perception of dementia and caregiving, by getting individuals and businesses to appreciate and embrace the gifts wrapped in every stage of life.” She knew that by removing the fear, embarrassment, and judgment that cripple relationships when we care for another; we could enhance our connections with the people we love and those supporting them on their journeys.

La Bey is a passionate advocate who searches for ways to shift our dementia care culture from crisis to comfort around the world. She understands change is needed on multiple levels. As a radio host, national speaker, and trainer, Lori connects people to best practices, products, services, tools, and resources. She enjoys connecting with people around the world and facilitating difficult conversations regarding the need for improving dementia care worldwide.

The Clock Was Ticking, So Our Founder Went All In!

Lori felt strongly and was driven to change our dementia care culture, so she went all in putting her life savings and retirement on the line. She knew it wouldn’t be easy and to this day she still feels it was worth the risk to improve the lives of all the people dealing with dementia.

La Bey saw many care paradigms that needed to shift. There were days she wanted to be quick, but she felt in her heart she was supposed to stand strong. Lori knew Alzheimer’s Speaks was to be her life’s work and she was glad she followed her intuition.
