Today we will discuss three health care technologies for Seniors that are at the forefront of advances that technology is achieving for Senior care. Helping us organize today’s show with guests from Dublin, Ireland and Ostend, Belgium is Mike Radice, Chairman of the Technology Advisory Board for ChartaCares a company that specializes in seeking out worldwide, the technology enabled health care products that are being created and used in other countries. Joining Mike from New Hampshire on today’s broadcast is Lauryn Schimmel, Managing Director of ChartaCloud Technologies the ‘parent’ company of ChartaCares.
We will have an opportunity today to learn about thee very different and exciting technologies:
The first segment will feature advances in unified communications for seniors – a touch screen – senior friendly tablet computer system called MyHomeReach that connects care-recipients, care givers, family member, local service organizations, and volunteers.
Second, we will discuss all the chatter about robots being used in the future of healthcare. Today we will learn they are already being actively used in Europe and more specifically in senior care facilities. Our first segment will speak to ZORA the senior care assistant care giver robot and hear from the creators of ZORA and also care giving professional who actually works with seniors and ZORA.
And third a social engagement and learning system for seniors designed to reduce loneliness, improve the quality of life and stimulate the creation of having purpose in life.
