So what scares you about Alzheimer’s disease?

For me it was many things.   What was going to happen to my Mother?  What was going to happen to my Father?  How was the family going to deal with the news, Mom has Alzheimer’s disease?  How would it affect everyone’s relationships?  Would my Daughter ever know the Mother I knew?  Would she ever see the organized, strong, loving woman I knew?  How would a child understand what was going on?  Would my Daughter be able to interact with my Mother and if so, how? What memories would she have of this experience?  How would we all react to what was to come?  What does this mean for the rest of us?  Will we get Alzheimer’s too?
