I just wanted to drop you a note and thank each and every one of you for your support and contributions in shifting our Dementia care culture.  I truly believe that together we will win this battle against Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.

I know holidays can be a difficult for those dealing with dementia.  If you are the one who is diagnosed or supporting a loved or client, we are all in this together as a community.  Know that we are much more then our words and sitting quietly with someone we care for can be precious once we let go of the expectation that “something” has to take place.  Being together is “something more” important and priceless then most of us will ever come to realize and appreciate. 

No matter what stage of dementia you are dealing with, know your connection is much strong and more valuable then any  name we put on it trying to categorize it.  Just let your relationship flow in the direction that is comfortable for the one you are caring for and you will see magic in the calmness.

Please know I am sending blessings your way no matter what your religious beliefs are on the Easter holiday.  You are all have big place in my heart and I am thank to each of you.  Enjoy your weekend.~ Lori La Bey
