Perceptions – Alzheimer’s patient vs. Caregiver

This is a personal story about my Mother and her perception of a situation verse my families perception of the situation.  Once again my Mother and her disease taught us all a great lesson  that I wanted to share with all Caregivers.

Here is the link to our youtube channel at Alzheimer’s Speaks where you can watch the story

  1. Thank you so much for this, Lori. We are just starting down the assisted living and possible dementia path (and I just found your blog), so it’s all new from the caregiver perspective, and just sorting out the differences between one facility and another. You’ve added a whole new dimension to my understanding of some of the activities offered in these places – and how it may be some of these simplest things that may in the long run make the biggest difference.

    1. Thank you for your comments. It is nice to know you find my writing helpful. I know this is difficult road you are traveling down at the moment, but please remember there is so much joy ahead. It’s not the beginning of the end,it’s just a new path to journey. Please feel free to write and ask any questions you have or just vent when times get hard. I’m here to help you in any fashion I can. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
