PBS to air a report on Alzheimer’s on June 6
On Thursday, June 6, 2013 Ray Suarez of the PBS NewsHour will examine Alzheimer’s disease and what it takes to care for a loved one. More than five million Americans now suffer from the disease and related dementias. Barring a breakthrough, the figure could triple by 2050. Many of those with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia will fade slowly and require years of long-term care during the decline.
The PBS NewsHour also posted a list of the Top 10 Things You Should know about Alzheimer’s Disease. You can read it here:Â http://www.pbs.org/newshour/rundown/2013/05/signs-of-alzheimers-disease-10-things-you-should-know.html.
