M & M’S THE PERFECT MOTHERS’ DAY GIFTÂ
By Lori La Bey of Senior Lifestyle Trends of Alzheimer’s SpeaksÂ
Mother’s Day today will be remembered for a long, long time. My Daughter Danielle and I went to visit Grandma today.  We were going to bring her one of her favorite treats a hot fudge sundae from McDonalds, but we decided to try something different today. So we picked up a bag of M & M’s. No peanuts, just pure simple chocolate; small enough for her to be able to handle. Melt in the mouth little pleasures. Â
Even though Mom appears not to connect with the here and now, she loves to receives the chocolate treats.  In addition, Grandma flashed her freshly polished nails that Danielle did for her yesterday.Â
Here are a few pictures of our time together today. We so appreciate the simple joys we are able to share with Mom, like M & M’s!
It’s the little things in life that make us happy… this is so sweet. Thanks for sharing your visit.
Hi Sue
So true! It really is the little things in life that are so important. Hope all is well with you!

Thanks Lori!
I took a class on FSBO many years ago from you.
My mom has Alzheimers and lives in Ohio with my father.
It is a tough go and my father is more difficult than my mom.
I remember reading something you mailed out about you having a parent with Altzheimers.
Thanks for sharing this journey and looking for the bright spots.

I will be blogging about it in the next week or too! I think you will find it interesting and helpful need vent, feel free to write. We are a very friendly and compssionate group here.
Thanks again for writing.
Lori
You are so awesome! I do not think I have read through a single thing like this before. So nice to find somebody with original thoughts on this issue. Seriously.. many thanks for starting this up. This site is one thing that’s needed on the web, someone with some originality!
Thank you!
