PLUS ….FREE ONLINE ALZHEIMER’S SUPPORT GROUP
If you or a loved one suffers from Alzheimer’s, Early Onset Alzheimer’s, or another Dementia related disease, or if you are an advocate, we invite you to join us. Memory People™ is a Facebook group founded by Rick Phelps, and created to bring real-time support to those touched by these diseases.
At Memory People™, you will find care and support in a comfortable and safe environment where patients, caregivers, and all involved come together to share our stories, support each other, and bring awareness to these diseases.
If you’re not already, you will need to have a Facebook account. From your home page, type “Memory People™ ” into the search bar. You then click on Memory People™, and you will be taken to our home page where you can read about us. Then, just click on the “Join Group” button and one of our Administrators will add you.
Once you become a member you will be asked to write a bio on your Alzheimer’s situation. These can be brief or as long and detailed as you like. The reason we ask for the bio is to help members see who members of the group are. These are also used for quick reference when communicating with one another. Members can take a quick glance and refresh their memories of personal situations of others which help conversation flow. Theses bios will become more and more important as membership grows. The bio assists those with memory loss to feel more independent by being able to check or recheck this information on their own without the embarrassment of having to ask someone to repeat their story.
If you or a loved one has been touched by Alzheimer’s or a related disease, we encourage you to join us, at Memory People™.
Thanks for sharing these informative videos.
