This presentation will look at the real life stigmas associated with dementia and what we can do as individuals to make a difference in a positive light. We will look at simple everyday situations and give you tips and tools to understand the world in which a person with dementia lives.

Objectives –

  1. Get new insight to an old problem
  2. Learn to identify stress triggers when interacting with a person who has Dementia
  3. Get empowered to embrace changing your personal care culture
  4. Walk out with new tools, simple to implement and share with others
  5. Discuss resources available for professionals and the public
