I have recently read a book (Use your brain to change your age, by Daniel G. Amen M.D.) which states that Alzheimers may be delayed, indefinitely. It is not a cure for an existing condition, but rather a statement that you can improve your personal health so as to avoid Alzhimers before it “matures” in your brain.
The book was printed by Crown Archtype, from Crown Publishing Group, a division of Random House Inc.
Dr. Amen is a psychiatrist who uses many Spec Brain Scans in his practice, and in his book. It is a very compelling read.
I am not a physician. I am someone who has lost a close family member to Alzheimers and am interested in not “inheriting it” myself.
