Dr. Andrew E. Budson, received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School. He is Professor of Neurology at Boston University, Lecturer in Neurology at Harvard Medical School, and Chief of Cognitive & Behavioral Neurology at the Veterans Affairs Boston Healthcare System. His career combines education, research, and clinical care to help those with memory disorders.
Andrew also co-authored the book SIX STEPS TO MANAGING ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE AND DEMENTIA with Maureen K. O’Connor. The book is a comprehensive guide written in an easy-to-read style that features clinical vignettes and character-based anecdotes that will help people understand in all kinds of real-life situations that can arise when you care for a loved one with dementia.

After receiving multiple requests to formally continue to highlight the artwork of those living with dementia, The Arts & Dementia Educational Panel will formally launch this November. All levels of artists and all types of art are welcome. Our goal is to elevate panelists work and ability to create beauty in many forms. They will share examples of various types of art they participate in, how, and why they started, what they have learned, and what they personally get out of making art. Panelists, do not have to attend all sessions.
