Feeling So Blessed

Feeling So Blessed

alz Lori mom photo logoToday I am feeling so blessed and humbled by a beautiful article written by Mara Botonis the author of “When Caring Takes Courage.”  Not only does it honor my work, but more importantly my mother’s thirty year journey with dementia.

Needless to say, without my mother being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s I would probably still be selling residential real estate. I wouldn’t be known as an advocate on steroids for Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. I wouldn’t have met such terrific new friends and colleagues all over the world.  I surely wouldn’t be a speaker or a writer. In fact, I actually can’t  imagine missing out on all of the life lessons I was taught through moms illness.  Yes, life would be much different, and much less then it is today for me.
